Car!

This photo was taken on spring break from the second floor of the Barnes and Noble on the Upper West Side. In Manhattan when the toddlers get stir crazy on a cold day, the mommies and nannies head for the Barnes and Noble kids' section. It is such a zoo of babies and young children in there - I don't think the suburbs have the same scene. Kids parked all over the place reading books (and reshelving them on the floor or maybe even in the bin that they leave out for book collecting) There is a woman who works there who is constantly rounding up books and tidying up the joint. She is a saint and definitely loves children. Harvey loves cars. In fact, he's one of the only kids in there who is NOT reading a book. Harvey goes immediately to the window and presses his nose up to watch the cars. "Cah! Cah!" he says.
